Meet our Animals

Uzi

  • Male
  • Africanis
  • At knee height this joker is friends with anyone and everyone. Ooze grew up on the street and not easy street. He's alert, busy and would do well in an active household.

Barley

  • Male
  • 2 years
  • Africanis
  • This boy loves to run. And he's fast too. Barley gets along with any dog but he too has been at the shelter all his life - nearly 2 trips around the sun. He would do well with a large space and a male or female companion.

Fru-Fru

  • Female
  • 18 Months
  • Pitbull X
  • Fru - daughter of Faith was born on the farm. Unfortunately and despite the early adoption days the limited exposure to few visitors has left her anxious around strange.
  • Fru is an incredibly gentle, sensitive girl and would do well in a quiet household prepared to take the time to bring her out of her shell. She is incredibly loving and sweet once she gets to know her humans.

Kabous

  • Male
  • 2 year
  • daxi/jack cross possibly
  • This mid calf high little chap is simply awesome. But he's a regular houdini and needs a secure property. Kabous plays well (bit rough) with female dogs. He is absolutely trustworthy with children but has an incredibly high prey drive - ultimate ratter this one - and cannot be placed with anything feathered nor fluffy.

Jemma

  • Female
  • 18 Months
  • Collie Cross
  • Jemma is gentle
  • Part of triplets
  • All 3 battle with allergies and compromised immunity. We specifically mention this because they will need good diets and probably a lifetime of Apoquel

Juno

  • Male
  • 18 Months
  • Collie Cross
  • Jemma is gentle
  • Part of triplets
  • All 3 battle with allergies and compromised immunity. We specifically mention this because they will need good diets and probably a lifetime of Apoquel.

Kiara

  • Female
  • 3 years
  • Collie Cross
  • Loves water. At nearly 3 years Kiara has spent most of her adult life in kennels. She walks well on lead, loves all size humans, has a dominant personality over other dogs and has a very high prey drive for feathered things

Newt

  • Female
  • 3 years
  • Staffi Mix
  • Newt walks well on harness
  • Our coal black staffi mix has now been in kennels for nearly 2 trips around the sun. She unfortunately plays really rough and can get reactive when humans are around so preferably and only dog.
  • Newt was in foster care with a small boy and absolutely adores children - but again she plays rough, gets overstimulated and would do really well with an older child.

Dumpling

  • Female
  • 1 year
  • Steekbaard
  • Plumpling is an independent little soul. At just over a year she really doesn't bother with other dogs, walks brilliantly on lead but is reactive. Off lead she ignores dogs in camps surrounding the exercise camp preferring to sniff and run alone. She would do well in a household who prefer a dog to not be needy but should be an only dog.

Akira

  • Female
  • Crossbreed
  • Loves Playing
  • "Light" or "Bright" in Japanese is what her name means and she is ready to be just that in your life.
